The
Hungarian Hospice-Palliative care
Assiciation organised its 9th
National Congress of Hospice-Palliative
Care in Nyieregyhaza, Hungary on 21-22
of May, 2010.
There were
more than 300 participants. As a part of
the congress a special International
Satellite Symposium (in English
language) on psychological aspects of
loss was organised for health care
professionals of Central and Eastern
European and former Soviet Union
countries.
There were
two participants from Belgrade, Serbia.
Tamara Klikovac, psychologist from
Institute for Oncology and Radiology of
Serbia had a presentation “End of life
or psychological rebirth: the multiple
aspects of loss living with cancer”.
Natasa Milicevic, MD, from Center for
Palliative Care and Palliative Medicine
“BELhospice” spoke about social issues
regarding end-of-life care: “This is not
our business - social reaction for end
of life care in Serbia”.
This
Symposium was an excellent opportunity
to share the experinecess and introduce
each other.
