78 participants from
Romania, Moldova, and Serbia gathered in
Brasov for two-day conference. They were
representing directors of nursing
schools, professors and local and
international Palliative Care experts.
The objective of the
conference was to develop curricula for
Palliative Care undergraduate education
in nursing schools, in accordance with
European Standards in this field.

Romania and Moldova have
included palliative care training as a
compulsory module in nursing training.
The purpose of module is to acquaint the
students with the specific notions and
activities regarding Palliative Care. In
addition, participants were invited to
take part in producing the manual for
this Palliative Care module. Next
meeting for all professionals who
attended this conference will be
organized in 4 - 6 months to discuss
prepared materials and its
implementation.
