   Charity Preference Tournament

Belgrade, 25th - 28th June 2009

Belgrade hosted yet another charity event to support the palliative care of terminally ill patients. The first open international Preference tournament was held from 25th-28th June in Hotel Jugoslavija. Preference is one of the leading intellectual and gentleman card games.

The tournament was opened with exhibition matches involving some of Serbia’s well-known and famous people. The opening night of the tournament was an opportunity for all competitors to donate money to BELhospice and the palliative care of terminally ill patients.

The future plans for this tournament is for it to become a traditional event and to continue to involve an element of fundraising on the opening night.

We would like to thank the organising committee of this tournament and all the good people who came together to help support the work of BELhospice in caring for terminally ill cancer patients in Serbia.

HELP BELHOSPICE

BELhospice is taking care of its patients free of charge despite the fact that it is not part of the National Health Care system of the Republic of Serbia, and thus not entitled to public budget funds.

All our activities are being helped by donations granted by people of good will such as your selves.
