On 4 December BELhospice team has visited The Association of Women who had been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer called “Budimo Zajedno” (Let’s stick together). The aim of the association is to offer information and psychological support to women who have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, so that they could integrate back into normal life as well as to their families. The Association works on educating female population about the need to work on prevention of breast cancer by having regular check ups.
The Association “Budimo Zajedno” was founded on December 2010 as a charitable, humanitarian, nongovernmental and non-profit organization which gathers women who had and have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, members of their families, friends and other interested parties.
Doctor Snežana Davidović, nurse Bojana Vučković and social worker Mijodrag Bogićević have introduced their members with the work of BELhospice Centre and its principles, with the aims of palliative care and its medical and psycho-social aspects of care. The aim of this meeting, apart from its informative and educational side was to personally introduce and connect members of both organisations.
