In the warm and inviting atmosphere of Coffee Bean caf\u00e9, the launch of the book \u201cPalliative care handbook for nurses\u201d by author Maja \u0110or\u0111ijevi\u0107 was held.<\/p>\n

The evening brought together nurses, medical technicians, doctors, volunteers, and family members of patients, creating a heartfelt and touching atmosphere dedicated to compassionate and dignified care for patients.<\/p>\n

Author Maja \u0110or\u0111ijevi\u0107 shared that her main motivation was to provide Serbia with its first handbook on palliative care in the Serbian language. Her goal was to give her healthcare colleagues an accessible resource without the need for translations or additional research. Through this work, Maja sought to make a personal contribution to the development of palliative care in Serbia. <\/p>\n

Dr. Miljana Dackovi\u0107 emphasized the importance of this handbook, stating that it is a milestone not only for BELhospice but for the entire country, and that its true value and significance will only become more apparent with time. As a physician, Dr. Dackovi\u0107 noted that the handbook offered valuable insights that enriched her understanding of providing appropriate care for patients in critical conditions. <\/p>\n

Special thanks go to Kontrast publishing for printing the handbook free of charge, as well as to everyone whose dedication and efforts contributed to its creation.<\/p>\n

We are also grateful to Coffee Bean caf\u00e9 for providing the venue and their support in organizing the event.<\/p>\n

As the author Maja highlighted, every page of this handbook carries the message that the right to dignity at the end of life is something every one of us deserves.<\/p>\n
