On Wednesday the 16th April 2014 BELhospice centre organised for the first time a theme workshop for patients before the Easter holidays. BELhospice patients, together with our volunteers, doctors, nurses, and social worker, decorated in many different and creative ways dozens of Easter eggs that will decorate their homes during the holiday.
This Easter gathering with patients was one of the many activities organised for patients with serious and life-threatening illnesses to reactivate their social life, take their minds off illness at least for couple of hours and spend time in a creative way. Theme of the workshop was decorating Easter eggs, for which patients had at their disposal many different materials. This workshop had numerous positive effects: good mood, great atmosphere, a lot of laughter and dozens of incredibly imaginatively decorated eggs.
Artist Sanja Tomasevic- sculptor who made medals for members of BELhospice team at the forthcoming Belgrade marathon, was also present at this workshop. Patients had the opportunity also to paint these medals in BELhospice colours. Even though they are not made of gold, they will be shining brightly on every runner’s chest.
