Bowling with a Mission: Humanitarian Tournament #16 Brings Companies Together for International Women’s Day

Mar 10, 2026Events

On Friday, March 6th, 2026, ahead of International Women’s Day, we held our traditional Humanitarian Bowling Tournament.

Why bowling? This sport symbolically unites everything we wish to celebrate: strength, precision, belonging, ease, support, and team spirit. These are precisely the values with which women empower their communities every day – values that BELhospice has recognized, supported, and cherished for more than two decades.

Once again this year, our gathering took place at Colosseum Bowling Center in Zemun, where we brought together 10 companies and a total of 88 women, competing across 14 teams.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all participants whose solidarity helped make this year’s tournament a resounding humanitarian success. During the event, donations totaling EUR 11,675.00 were collected, which will be directed toward providing free palliative care services to adult oncology patients and children suffering from life-limiting illnesses and conditions.

Thanks to events such as this one, as well as the support of companies and individuals, BELhospice provided assistance to more than 310 patients and over 500 of their family members in the past year. We are confident that in the period ahead, we will be able to reach even more of those who need our help.

We extend our gratitude to the companies that once again recognized the importance of the Humanitarian Bowling Tournament and chose to spend the end of their working week with us, marking International Women’s Day in a way that will be remembered: through togetherness, solidarity, and a celebration of humanity. Among them are:

A1 Srbija, ACB Društvo za posredovanje u osiguranju, Bosch, BalkanBet, CBS International, Cetin, Halk Bank, Karanović & Partners, KPMG and Yettel Bank.

At this year’s Humanitarian Bowling Tournament, first place was taken by the Yettel Bank team, who claimed victory with a convincing result.

Second place went to the participants from the Bosch team, while third place was claimed by the A1 Serbia team.

The title of best bowler of the tournament went to Tamara Mirić from the Yettel Bank team.

Congratulations to everyone on the outstanding play, sportsmanship, and contribution to the humanitarian goal of the tournament!

We also owe a great thank you to our long-standing partner and tournament host, Colosseum Bowling Center., with whom we have been honoring the 8th of March in a special way for 16 years. We also extend our thanks to our friends from the flower shop Teleflora, who once again this year donated flowers for the tournament participants.

Thanks to our partners, friends, and donors, we have succeeded in our mission to make the beginning of March in Belgrade and this important international holiday synonymous with bowling with a purpose: to connect not only women’s teams from companies, but the entire community, building a network of support with those who need help the most.

Thank you all once again for showing together that a single bowling ball can sometimes mean so much more than just a game.
