This year, for the 14th time, our organization participated in the Belgrade Marathon, once again confirming the strength of togetherness and solidarity.
39-th This year, the Powerade Belgrade Marathon was held for the first time over two days 18. on 18 and 19 April, and BELhospice took part in this major sporting event with the largest official race team to date – more than 400 runners who ran in support of the users of our free palliative care services and their families.
Thanks to the huge support of our runners, donors and friends, this year we collected EUR 58,000.00. After covering the costs of the organization, EUR 37,000.00 will be directly intended to support patients and families, which will enable us to provide an additional 850 home visits to the users of our services.
We owe special thanks to our great volunteers, who were an indispensable support at every step this time, as well as to the students of the School of Pharmacy and Physiotherapy, future physiotherapists, who selflessly provided massage services and helped our competitors after the race.
This year, the BELhospice Team tent was set up on Student Square, where citizens had the opportunity to join us, meet our team of doctors, get advice and learn more about our work and the importance of palliative care.
