As part of the preparation for a campaign to raise funds to build the first hospice in Serbia, BELhospice has established contacts with the Serbian diaspora.
Zoran Purković, director of BELhospice center, was in the United States during November, and with the help of Mrs. Sonja Myers was able to meet representatives of the Diaspora in five cities in the states of Texas and Indiana.
He had an opportunity to visit three Serbian Orthodox churches and meet with His Grace Bishop Longin in Merrillville where they talked about the influence that BELhospice and palliative care is having in the lives of the patients and their families in Belgrade.
