For the sixth year in a row, BELhospice charitable five-a-side football tournament was organised in Sport Centre Kovilovo. This event raised 11,000 Euros. This sum will be used to provide desperately needed palliative care for cancer patients.

Nine companies took part in football tournament in order to support this cause. Football teams from ProCredit bank, Executive Group, Apatinska brewery, Actavis, KPMG, Telenor, Generali Serbia, SAGA and TeleGroup competed for the “BELhospice trophy”. General sponsor of the tournament was ProCredit bank.

The winner of the tournament was Telenor that beat Actavis with 3:2 after great battle in the finals. ProCredit bank won the third place over Apatinska brewery with the score 3:1. Title for the best football player was awarded to Ivan Kratovic from KPMG who scored 8 goals at the tournament.

“This year, our traditional five-a-side football tournament coincided with the beginning of the World Cup in Brazil. This way, by socializing and supporting sports events, we would like to encourage spreading of the spirit of unity and support for the charity initiatives. Funds that we are raising here will be used to improve the palliative care of cancer patients and their families, and on behalf of them I would like to thank all the companies for participating and supporting this event”, said Zoran Purkovic, director of BELhospice.
