On Saturday, 1st of December, BELhospice organized the 9th BELhospice Charity Ball „A Cruise with a Purpose“ at Hyatt Regency Belgrade. With the support of representatives of diplomatic cord and corporate sector as well as numerous individuals, this event raised 74,000 EUR and these funds will be used for free of charge palliative care to cancer patients through 1.000 home visits as well as for the Day care services which will be provided in the first hospice centre in Serbia.
Our charity cruise was hosted by lovely Nina Radulović and Dejan Pantelić. During the evening, guests had the opportunity to enjoy performances of Snežana Savičić Sekulić, National theatre opera soloist, pianist Hrvoje Ivović, string quartet Habanera and dancers Katarina Gromilić, Bojana Žegarac, Olga Olćan, Igor Pastor, Milan Rus i Milan Gromilić.
On this occasion, we traditionally presented the BELhospice Champion Awards for companies and individuals that made special contribution to BELhospice work in the previous year. This year’s winners were Arhipro, Smart Construction, Municipality Zvezdara, UniCredit bank, EU delegation, Graham Perolls, HMA Denis Keefe, Gitte Vejlstrup, Leo D’aes, Miloš Hamović and Mark Harrison.
BELhospice Charity Ball was attended by the ambassadors of Belgium, Australia, Canada and Great Britain, as well as Nenad Nerić, the state secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and Brankica Janković, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality. This event was organized with the support of sponsors Harrisons Solicitors and Manpower group as well as the companies Belupo, Banca Intesa, Vivid Moment, Epilion, TeleGroup, BENU Apoteka, Bel Medic, ACB, Movem Fashion and Generali osiguranje.
Thanks to incredible support of Hyatt Regency Belgrade, Marsh Production company and lovely artists, this year’s ball will be remembered for many years to come. L’Artisan, Despotika winery and Johnnie Walker were there with us once again this year. Big thank you to Diznilend studio, Aleksandar and Ivan were there to capture all the moments of the ball.
