BELhospice conducted an online survey and distributed it through the social media channels aimed at increasing public awareness about palliative care and seek their opinion about the need to improve palliative care services.
This survey was conducted under the project “Advancing human rights through improved palliative care services”, financed and supported by The Balkan Trust for Democracy of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
Results clearly show that 99.65% of opinions given believe that palliative care services should be improved so to foster social justice and enable more equitable rights of the vulnerable groups.
The results will be presented to the government along with the proposed changes of to affect government to make necessary changes in order to advance quality of life and protect human rights of the vulnerable group of the life limiting patients and their families.
