On Wednesday 25th May 2016, Bereavement Workshop ˝Rememberance Day˝ was held at BELhospice centre.
Aim of the workshop was to provide psychological support to bereaved family members of our deceased patients. Providing the support during the bereavement period is an integral part of palliative care and BELhospice has been giving this kind of support for the last 4 years.

In palliative care, a patient and his family is an unit of care. It means that family continues to receive professional support even after patient’s decease, in process of bereavement.
Berevement support workshop “Remembrance Day” was held 25 May 2016 as part of BELhospice program for the support to family members in the process of bereavement. Participants had an opportunity to get familiar with the basic stages, the length and the most common emotions that accompany the grieving process, and then to remember the most important personality traits of loved ones, as well as interesting and funny events.
The workshop was attended by 7 participants, led by psychologist Tamara Klikovac, and additional support to participants of the workshop was provided by social worker Mijodrag Bogićević, and theologian Katarina Davidovic Marotto. Nurse Ivana Racic was host of the workshop.
The workshop was organized with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
