On Thursday night, 27 February 2014, within the offices of BELhospice our time was dedicated to deceased patients. As a part of the program of support to the families in the process of grieving, BELhospice Center held a workshop „Remembrance Day „. This has so far been the most visited workshop, which speaks to the fact that family members need support after the loss of a loved one.
The aim of the workshop was to work through the feelings of deep sadness, sorrow, guilt and other emotions that accompany the loss of a loved one, through the process of bringing up positive memories and emotions, in order to facilitate the process of grieving of the family members.
The workshop, which was attended by fifteen participants, was led by a social worker Mijodrag Bogićević, and an additional support to the workshop participants was provided by the theologian Jovan Blagojevic and spiritual care coordenator Katarina Davidovic Marotto.
Family members had the opportunity to remember their loved ones, their personal features, important and meaningful events or dates, to share their memories with other participants or to write them down in silence and hang them on the Tree of memories.
