Our services
- Adults and old people suffering from malignant diseases
- Children and young people with life-limiting diseases
Support is aimed at both the patient and family members. Palliative care involves the prevention and relief of suffering through early detection and assessment of various symptoms of the disease, both physical and psycho-social and spiritual.
In order to implement a holistic approach, a multidisciplinary team is necessary, which is a central component of palliative care. Our team includes members from various health and other professions and disciplines.
Our services are completely free, every day from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.
Our team cooperates with health services at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, as well as with social welfare institutions. We take care of a number of different medical and psychosocial needs of the patient, while continuously providing support to family members as well. Palliative care does not exclude the patient’s primary treatment aimed at the disease, on the contrary, it supports it in order to prevent and alleviate the suffering that the patient and family members go through.
