Palliative care for adults
Through its humane approach, the Center for Palliative Care offers you the care of your physical and psychosocial needs, considering all your needs as equally important. A serious illness is always full of problems, which make you wander in an attempt to solve them.
Many problems are not unsolvable and a good palliative care team can help you deal with them. In order to overcome the resulting problems, we offer you support in:
– therapy of acute and chronic pain and other physical symptoms of the disease (choking, coughing, nausea, constipation, etc.),
– help the family and the informal caregiver (help with therapy, care, maintenance of the patient’s hygiene, etc.),
– education and continuous support with expert advice to the patient and family,
– taking care of the psychosocial needs of both the patient and family members
– spiritual support during illness and during the grieving process.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of doctors, nurses, caregivers, social workers, psychologists, and spiritual coordinators.
Our team includes numerous volunteers who, with their great enthusiasm and humanity, offer support to the patient and family through a series of practical services (going to the store, pharmacy), as well as through conversation and their presence.
Our help is reflected in the provision of equipment and aids for use.
These include: patient bed, anti-decubitus mattresses, wheelchair, toilet trolley, oxygen concentrator.
Our team tries every day to get as many aids as possible, so that as many patients as possible can get them.
