Every kilometre counts
What is the Golden Thread?
The Golden Thread is the theme of the 16th BELhospice Charity Ball, taking place on 7 November at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade. It is the thread that connects everyone who supports our daily work with patients and their families.
This month, we are weaving that thread in kilometres. From 15 October, every participant’s kilometres add up to one shared thread. Each week, we will show on our social media how much it has grown.
Why palliative care?
Palliative care is a holistic approach to looking after people with incurable illnesses – at home, surrounded by family, from the very first day of the diagnosis. BELhospice provides it free of charge to adult oncology patients and to children with serious and life-limiting illnesses and conditions, through home visits by a team of doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists.
Your kilometres and donations help this care reach those who need it.
